In 1961 Lindsay Raikes, Ken's son joined the business and started to branch out into what we know today, outdoor power equipment, chainsaws, mowers etc. This was primarily so that KC Motors could continue to supply outdoor power equipment to Horowhenua District council as at this time the council wished to only deal with business in Levin. In 1971 KC Motors established an agreement with Malfory and Company at this point they were the distributor of Stihl products in NZ. In 200 KC Motors shifted premises in Levin into the building on the current site at 108 Oxford Street, Levin. In September 2014 Ken and Lee McCormick took ownership of KC Motors, continuing the structure and philosophy of a family owned business
